DKR – Nozzle
Application
For flow-rate measurement of gases, steams and fluids in either
homogenous or heterogeneous media. Special applications are gas- and
oil-extraction and flow-rate measurements that require a very low
energy-loss.

Construction
DKR–nozzles consist of an inlet cylinder, a diffuser cone, a
confuser and an outlet cylinder.
The DKR-nozzles are carried out and meant for the flow in one
direction.
As a special construction you have the possibility of measuring
the flow-through in both directions and we may construct several
deviations, if needed.
The pressure tapping takes place at the junction from diffuser to
confuser and at the outlet.
In most cases they are designed as single bore. We can, of course,
take into account customer specifications for pressure tapping
(multiple tapping or ring chamber).

Advantages
Much smaller remaining pressure-losses (which means smaller
energy-loss) compared to conventional DP-Flow-elements (roughly 30%
less than venturi tubes)
2–3 times a s much duration of life when being used in extreme
conditions (such as fluid-measuring with solids contents)
Little noises and vibrations due to the low-optimised construction
